Mining convention options

Hi everyone,

A vote was taken with the members on-hand at the association meeting. In light of the fact the MGS will not organize the convention, “should The MPDA organize a convention ?”

The vote passed, with a majority. Orix geoscience has generously offered to do most of the heavy lifting on the organizational end.

We have a meeting with Orix on Wednesday prior to the Mining4Beer get together which will be held at the Amsterdam tea room downtown, everyone is of course welcome and we will have an update on the convention.

We are canvassing the membership for a name for the convention – maybe replace mining with exploration? Also we are looking for a theme ie. go for the gold, something catchy.
