Participate in Minerals Week

Manitoba Mineral Week is from May 20 to 24th, 2024. This year we feature Manitoba’s high purity silica sand.

We are seeking participants and sponsors to help us demonstrate the value of mineral exploration to all Manitobans.

Mineral Week is our opportunity to tell Manitobans about the enormous mineral endowment on our doorstep waiting to be discovered and the opportunity we have to lead the green revolution through our development of critical minerals.

During this week, we will meet with Ministers, Deputy Ministers and MLAs from all parties to introduce them to the opportunities of a robust dynamic Mineral sector.

On Tuesday, May 21 the MPDA will be celebrating Minerals/Mining Week in Manitoba by hosting a number of events at the Manitoba Legislature for “Lobby Day”

We will be:

•   Distributing custom-made silica sand vail gift boxes to each member of the legislature.
•   Statements will be made regarding exploration and extraction from Members for the record.
•   Meeting with Ministers, MLA’s and Deputy Ministers to introduce them to the opportunities of a robust dynamic mineral sector.
•   Hosting a reception at the legislature for MLAs, staff, deputy ministers and industry at the end of the day.

Minerals Week is relevant to every corner of the province, we encourage you to consider hosting an event and become an active participant of the MPDA events. Please spread the information about Mineral week to your customers. suppliers and general contacts.
