The Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association (MPDA) is pleased to welcome Sio Silica Corporation as the first organization to join our newly established Founding Leadership Circle.
This marks a significant step forward for MPDA as we strengthen our role as a convenor across critical mineral exploration and development, Indigenous leadership, and government as Manitoba gains national and global attention.
The Founding Leadership Circle is a small, intentionally limited group of organizations committed to playing an active role in shaping the future of exploration and critical mineral development in Manitoba. Participation is capped to ensure that this remains a focused leadership table, not a broad membership category.
Sio Silica’s early commitment reflects both leadership and a clear understanding of where the sector is going. Their decision to step forward at this stage positions them alongside a select group of organizations that are not only participating in the sector, but helping to define how it evolves.
Through the Founding Leadership Circle, partners engage directly in strategic discussions, leadership forums, and relationship-building opportunities that connect Indigenous Nations, government decision-makers, investors, and industry leaders. This is where alignment happens early, where expectations are understood, and where long-term opportunities are built on a stronger foundation.
As part of this commitment, Sio Silica will be featured during Manitoba Mineral Week, including a speaking role at the June 1 Leadership Forum at the Manitoba Legislative Building. This forum brings together a curated group of leaders to focus on early-stage engagement, economic participation, and the practical steps needed to move Manitoba’s critical minerals sector forward.
MPDA’s updated corporate membership and partnership model reflects a shift in how we support the sector. This is not simply about access to events. It’s about creating a space where leadership, relationships, and strategic alignment come together in a way that supports responsible development and long-term economic opportunity.
