MPDA Field Trip to PADCOM’s Potash mine and Gambler First Nation
PADCOM (Potash & Agri Development Corporation of Manitoba), is the first and so far only Potash mine in Manitoba. It is a shining example of a true Business Partnership with the neighboring Indigenous community Gambler First Nation. (this field trip will follow the Indigenous Engagement Session planned for at GAC-MAC 2024 and featuring the PADCOM/Gambler story).
Date: Field Trip May 23rd 2024 (Thursday May 23rd is post-conference).
Length of Trip: 8-9 hour round trip from Brandon.
Transportation: Tour Bus
Departure: approximately 9:15 am from Brandon University, 270 18th St, Brandon
Cost per person: No Charge (donation to the MPDA appreciated)

Itinerary:
First stop: Gambler First Nation from 11:30 – 1:00 Brief history of Gambler First Nation and information on their Businesses, and relationship/partnership with PADCOM by Chief David LeDoux, and Lunch/Feast provided by the Gambler First Nation.
Second stop: arrive at 1:30 at PADCOM Potash mine in Harrowby Manitoba (just west of Russell MB)
Arrive back in Brandon at 5:45.
